Suggested Mass Intention: "For the courageous support of human life by all elected officials”

Welcome to the Laity for Life Politician Project !

Our purpose in this is to have Masses offered in the home dioceses of nationally prominent politicians and administration officials who describe themselves as Roman Catholics, at the same time that they publicly support policies antithetical to the doctrine and teaching of the Roman Catholic Church such as abortion and euthanasia.

We hope and pray that the grace of the Masses offered in their home dioceses will be efficacious,  both in encouraging prayer for them on the part of their fellow Catholic constituents and in moving their own minds and hearts away from supporting such intrinsically evil acts and toward uncompromising support for a Culture of Life. 

The Suggested Mass Intention is deliberately generalized in order to avoid unnecessary conflict in scheduling the Masses.

We suggest you do the following:

1. Review the list of nationally recognized politicians and administration officials and identify one or more for whom you would like to have Masses offered -  [List]

Then either –

2. Call the indicated Diocese office and explain that you would like to arrange for one or more Masses at the Diocese cathedral or basilica for a special intention.  Follow whatever procedures are required, including specifying the Suggested Mass Intention and mailing a check for any Mass stipend charged;

Or –

3. Use the indicated Diocese website link to find the Catholic churches in the politician’s “hometown,” select one or more of these churches and follow the same procedure described above, i.e. call the church office, explain that you would like to arrange for one or more Masses for a special intention, etc.       

4. Let us know by email [ info@laityforlife.org ] or telephone [ (239) 352-6333 ] about the Masses you have arranged – including a. the politician name; b. the church name and location; c. the Mass date and time – and we will post it with your name in our website Book of Masses.
